Sparkles and Spurs Daycare Holiday Closings

New Year’s Day

Independence Day

The day before, on and after Thanksgiving

December 23rd-26th for Christmas break

I will be open on Memorial and Labor Day, depending on the amount of kids in care those days,

a 2 week notice will be given if closing one or both of those days.

Sparkles and Spurs Daycare is allowed a 2 week holiday period at some point during the year.

This will most likely occur during the summer and can be broken up into a few different uses if needed.

You will get at least a 30 days’ notice before I chose to take vacation. I will do my best to help you find

alternative care, but will still be required to be paid for my vacation time (as anyone is in a full time position.)

If you and your family decide to take vacation, that is fine, but I do need 30 days’ notice.

I will also only charge you only 50% of your rate for one week only, the following week and on will be the full time rate.

I do require to still be paid if your child is sick or does not come to my care for any reason (without the vacation notice.)

However, if I am sick, I will not charge you for the day(s) that I am off during my illness.

I will do my best to have a substitute come in and cover for me if I am ill or am unable to care for the children for any reason.

The sub will be authorized for the daycare and have all the necessary paperwork and background checks needed.

Updated Substitute/ Back up Daycare Agreement

We have an updated substitute/back up daycare agreement. In the event that I am unable to care for the children, I will not be able to provide a substitute. It is the responsibility of the parents to find reliable care in case my child or myself get sick, if I have to go to an appointment or have to close for any other reason. I will do my best to help you find someone else to watch your children, but can’t guarantee anything. If I have to close for whatever reason, besides my own vacation, I will not expect you to pay for the days that are missed on my account. If I do end up closing for vacation or holidays however, you will still be expected to pay for the time that you are not in care, the vacation rules are stated in the contract regarding my vacation time and holidays.

Updated Payment Agreement

I will only accept payments during business hours PRIOR to care. It is in my policy that the child’s following week of daycare must be prepaid for by the previous Friday. There will be no exceptions made, I must be prepaid for this. If Monday comes and the child’s spot isn’t paid for for that week, you will have to pay what was owed, and also the late fee’s that were added. The child cannot attend till the payments are made in full prior to care. My hours are Mon- Fri 6am-6pm and pay days are every Friday for the following week. If you cannot make a payment on Friday, you are more than welcome to pay earlier in the week for the following week, as long as you are prepaying. Please refer to my contract regarding the late fee’s. There will, under no circumstance, a cash refund. If I am prepaid and have to be out that following week for any reason of my own, not yours, I will take the pay for those days off of the following week’s price. If you prepay for the week and your child is sick, prices will NOT be adjusted. You are paying to hold their spot. I will only be accepting cash and checks. Checks will automatically be processed electronically into my account via my cell phone. If the checks bounce, there will be a $30.00 insufficient fund fee and no more checks will be accepted by your family.
